What is C.H.I.?

C.H.I. is an acronym that stands for CONGRUENCY, HARMONY, and INTEGRITY.

CULTIVATING C.H.I. was born out of a desire to create flow and ease throughout the main areas of our lives.  We often become stuck when dealing with issues pertaining to our PHYSICAL bodies, our SPIRITUAL beings, our RELATIONSHIPS, and our PROFESSIONAL lives.  Our goal is to develop CLARITY in our thoughts, words, and actions.  To prioritize what is important to us and to bring these priorities into CONGRUENCY and HARMONY aligned with our INTEGRITY.

 Living in C.H.I. means:

  1. We are CONGRUENT.

CONGRUENCY is being in a state of agreement.  It’s when our actions support what we desire to achieve.

“Be congruent.  You feel good when who you are equals who you want to be.”

  1. We are in HARMONY.

What is HARMONY?

HARMONY is a give and take that creates peace, balance, and unity.

“Harmony is a beautiful balance between mind, body, and soul measured in tender peaceful moments.”

-Melanie Koulouris

  1. We are living with INTEGRITY.

INTEGRITY means wholeness and consistency of character.  We are said to have INTEGRITY when our actions are consistent with our knowledge of right and wrong.  When we do the right thing based on our values rather than what would be easy or would benefit us in some way.

“Integrity is the integration of ideals, convictions, standards, beliefs, and behavior.  When our behavior is congruent with our professed values, when ideals and practice match up, we have integrity.”

-Nathaniel Branden

What is the benefit of living in CONGRUENCY, HARMONY, AND INTEGRITY?

The BENEFIT of living in C.H.I is the resulting positive energetic flow of being in alignment in thought, word, and deed.  It is a glowing inner confidence that is attractive and magnetic.

Why is it important to live in C.H.I.?

We all desire to live peaceful calm lives.  We will never achieve this desire when we live out of alignment with what we know to be true.  This misalignment may show itself in the physical body, spiritual being, professional life, or in our relationships.

What are the consequences of living out of C.H.I.?

Misalignment may manifest in emotional eating, abuse of substances such as food, alcohol, or drugs, insomnia, depression, anxiety, dysfunctional relationships, unfulfilling careers, disconnected spirituality, and illness.

What is CLARITY and why is it important in the process of CULTIVATING C.H.I.?

“It’s lack of clarity that creates chaos and frustration.  Those emotions are poison to any living goal.”

-Steve Maraboli

CLARITY is the process of becoming clear.

Once we gain CLARITY we can begin to see what’s really possible for us.

                  make peace with food.

                  let go of numbing behaviors.

                  create healthy sleep patterns.

                  overcome depression and anxiety.

                  develop healthy loving relationships.

                  build fulfilling careers.

                  reconnect spiritually.

                  regain our health.

So where do we find CLARITY?

We find CLARITY in what I call the “messy middle”.  The place where all the work occurs.  We do the inner work required to get clear on why we’re doing what we’re doing, eating what we’re eating, numbing out when we’re numbing out, feeling sad when we’re feeling sad and then we see how we can realign our priorities to CULTIVATE CONGRUENCY, HARMONY,  and INTEGRITY.  It’s only by living in the “messy middle” that we can get curious and gather the information needed to create a life of greater ease and flow.  It’s the process by which we become “unstuck” and CULTIVATE resilient C.H.I.
