Mindful Monday: Hang On



Sometimes life gets so complicated, confusing, and confounding that we may want to just throw in the towel, shut down, and go into hibernation.

This is the time to HANG ON!

It’s okay to step back and regroup.

Spend some time cultivating clarity around what’s important to you.

Once you gain better clarity evaluate if your thoughts, words, and actions are aligned with your integrity.

Give yourself permission to release what no longer serves and add in practices that will support you in living the life you desire.


Here are a few tips to not only help you HANG ON but to help you move forward with ease and grace during challenging times.


1. Express gratitude.

    Begin each day writing down 5 things for which you are grateful. Positivity attracts

2. Journal.

    Spend 10 minutes each day putting your thoughts down. Writing in longhand is very cathartic and healing.

3. Pray.

    Know that your Creator wants the very best for you. Communicate daily. Share your concerns. Ask for guidance.

4. Reach out to someone you trust.

      Talk with a loved one. Allow them to share your burdens.

5. Eat delicious healthy foods.

    These foods will strengthen and nourish your body, mind, and spirit.

6. Sleep.

    Create a quiet, calm, soothing routine to promote healthy restorative sleep.

7. Exercise.

    Walk in nature. Ride a bike. Play in the park. Practice yoga. Low intensity
exercise lowers cortisol levels and promotes feel good hormones and mental clarity.

8. Meditate.

    Guided meditation cultivates mindfulness and appreciation for the present.


Mindful Monday Action Step

Today’s Tip is the practice of writing Morning Pages.  Morning Pages are three pages of longhand, stream of consciousness writing, done first thing upon awakening.  Keep a notebook and pen by your bed.  Simply roll over when you awaken, put pen to paper and write without stopping for three full pages.  Don’t overthink it.  It’s not about making sense.  This process is a tool to clear the mind and to prepare it for the new day.  




Look neither to the past with regret nor the future with fear.

Be in the gift of this one precious moment where anything is possible.
