Is It Possible to Cultivate Calm Over Chaos?

 

Cultivating C.H.I. is all about clarifying what’s important to you and aligning your thoughts, words, and actions to achieve your goal. When you are not aligned with your integrity you will experience disconnect and disappointment.

 

How does this manifest in your life?

 

Our over-busy lives often find us pushing through each day, running from one activity to the next.  No real connection to our mind, body, or spirit.  We find ourselves overwhelmed, overstimulated, and undernourished in every way.  Continuing on this path will often result in exhaustion, depression, anxiety, and insomnia, and leaves us unable to connect with our family and friends, stuck in a career that is unfulfilling and/or disconnected spiritually.

 

What is the antidote? 

 

It’s time to slow down. Breathe. Come into the now.

 

How can you create this peaceful state?

 

Through MEDITATION.

 

 

 

MEDITATION is a way to calm your mind and reconnect with your body. It focuses on the gift of now rather than on past failures or future fear of the unknown.

 

There are numerous well-documented benefits to daily MEDITATION practice.

  4. Boosts serotonin
  5. Reduces cortisol
  6. Improves sleep

MEDITATION does not require any special position, place, or direction.

 

Here’s a simple way to get started.

Find a quiet place to sit or lay without distraction.

Close your eyes and allow your thoughts to float gently like clouds. Acknowledge your thoughts without focusing on them.

Touch them gently and allow them to move on without judgment.

Rest, without sleeping.

Allow your mind to experience restoration and renewal.

 

Mindful Monday Action Step  

This week, commit to a minimum of 10 minutes daily of total quiet spent in peaceful MEDITATION.
